MAKING TV SCAN LINES STEP 1:
Choose an image you want to use the scan line effect on, like the photo at left.
Lighter colored photos give better results than darker ones. STEP 2:
Create a new image with a transparant background wider than the one you
want to put the scan lines over. Height should be 2 pixels. Make sure you zoom
in all the way so you can see what you are doing. Select your line tool.
In the options box select anti-alias, opacity 100%, size 1 pixel and draw
a line at the top of the image. After you've done this go to
the menu and select > all.
Then go to edit > define pattern.
STEP 3:
Go back to your original picture and create a new layer above the
photo. Then go to fill > pattern. You will now see the lines over
the photo. It won't look so good at this point. You will need to change the layer
mode from normal to overlay.
STEP 4:
Once you've changed your layer mode to overlay, play around with the opacity percentage
and adjust it to your liking. Your finished product should look something
like this. You're done! Fini!
