MAKING A STRAIGHT LINE OF DOTS OR SQUARES Lines of dots and squares are popular these days. This tutorial will try to make it at simple as possible to make your own. STEP 1: ![]() Open a new blank image. Make sure you have your ruler guide showing. If you don't, go into view > show rulers and click to activate. This will help you to make a guide line wherever you want so you can keep your line of dots or squares straight. STEP 2: ![]() Select the move tool, place your cursor in the ruler area and click and drag down to an area in the project where you want to start your line. You will see a blue line. This is where you will draw your squares or dots. If you don't like where you placed your line, click on it and drag to where you want. STEP 3: ![]() Next, you will need to select a brush. In the brushes box, select a 2 or 3 pixel round or square brush. Double click on it. This will bring up the brush options. Here you will select a spacing percentage of 150 or more (the higher the number the wider the space between the dots will be). De-select the anti-alias box. Now you are ready to paint your lines of dots or squares. Note: If you want squares and you don't see any in your list of brushes, you need to click on the far upper-right arrow of your brushes list and load brushes, select the folder where the brushes are in goodies/brushes and select square brushes.abr. This will load a bunch of square brushes in various sizes. STEP 4:

the blue line. Click and drag the line back to the top to get it out of the way.And there you have it! You now have a line of perfectly spaced dots or squares!! Now you are ready to conquer the world!!! |
